I remember trying out for volleyball freshmen year, I didn't make the team but it was an eye-opener for me that I needed to work harder and give it my all. I knew I wanted to play volleyball because having the idea to meet people and creating a bond with them is an amazing feeling. Getting to hit the ball or knowing there's a challenge it makes you want to strive even more. This year is my second year playing volleyball, which I know isn't as much experience like other players but I love to play the sport. Volleyball makes me happy, relieves my stress and i'm beyond committed. Everyday at practice I show up ready to play new roles, take feedback, help my teammates, learn from those mistakes I make, and just have fun. I have improved so much over these past 2 years, like becoming captain for this school year has been such a honor. It motivates me want to work harder and be a role model to my teammates. In volleyball and in any other sport, communication and teamwork play a big role in the medical field, which helps me with those skills while I play because I have to focus on every move and decision I make.
