Fighting for a starting spot on the varsity team my Sophomore year has proved to be the greatest challenge throughout my high school volleyball career so far. As challenging as it was, it impacted me not only as a player but as a person as well. Constantly working hard on and off season was what earned me my spot half way through the season. Seeing the progress I made was what inspired me to continue the hard work to try and earn a spot on a college team. As I continued with dedication I once again saw everything pay off as I was named Section Player of the year my junior year.
Along with volleyball academics are extremely important to me. My sophomore year I was inducted into National Honor Society where I have learned a lot about being a good leader. Naturally I brought the leadership I learned to the court and thrived as captain of the varsity team. Playing club volleyball was a great experience for me, being put on a team with rivals helped me to realize the importance of being a team player. Not only have I enjoyed being a part of different teams but I've also learned to adjust to different coaching styles and love learning new things from new coaches. I've always gotten along with my teammates and enjoy being a positive influence on the court. I'm looking for a college that can support my academic and athletic needs. I believe with the dedication and leadership I can offer I would be a good contribution to any college program!
