Alex Halket '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alex Halket and I am a class of 2024 student at Delta Secondary School in BC Canada.  

I fell in love with volleyball when I was in grade six and have played competitively since. I have played indoor for Seaside Volleyball Club in Surrey BC Canada since U13 and am pre-signed to play again this U17 year, coached by Rob Gowe (University, Club and Provincial Select Team coach). I was captain of my U16 team and am striving to captain my U17 for the upcoming year. 

To strengthen my indoor play, I participated in beach volleyball over the last two summers with the Beach Co. based in Vancouver, BC Canada. I was coached by Team Canada National Women's Beach Volleyball coach Kyra Iannone and National team member Devon May. I learned some amazing skills from both coaches that really helped elevate my indoor play. 

My goals in indoor volleyball are to continue to play at a high level and go to a post secondary school that is both athletically and academically strong. I am captain of both my club team and school varsity team. On and off the court, I am a very hard working, dedicated, competitive, outgoing and supportive person. I love being part of a team and consider myself a solid contributing member.
