Sophia Bautista '24 Recruiting Profile

        As a student athlete, I take pride in not only my sport, but also my academics... working my way up to make myself stand out. Never have I been a wallflower, in fact I am the social butterfly getting those wallflowers to come out of their shell. Never, have I once not tried to make someone happy, because without joy, you don't know where you stand in life. This has all fed into my newfound volleyball career, starting the moment I stepped on the court. When I am competing I try to keep morals high, boosting the teams momentum in hopes to win our matches. As well as taking my perseverant spirit, continuously training in ways that help me improve so I may reach a higher level. Volleyball is not a one person sport, you have people you trust to aid you in times on and off the court; that is something I stand by. Taking this into my academics as well, taking leading roles and stances in school to shed light on any negativity that thrives. Whether it be defending teachers in my district for better pay, or becoming president of NHS and AP Club lead treasurer; inspiring change from within school programs. No matter what, I will always put my all into everything and intend to continue doing that in college. Following my dream of being a volleyball player, while studying to be a software engineer is what I envision for college.
