Playing sports have always been a part of who I was growing up and have definitely shape me into the person I am today. I've gone from playing soccer to wanting to be a cheerleader/gymnast to playing basketball and running track. However my interest for volleyball grew my freshman year of high school when I really got a taste for the sport. I quickly learned the game and developed my skills , making varsity my sophomore year. I was eager to continue to learn knowing there was still room for improvement. During off season I continue to work hard in the weight room and in the gym leading to my starting position on the outside as a junior. The highlight of my season was coming out as top server for my team and making Valle Vista All league 2nd Team. Throughout all these experiences I have grown as an athlete and an individual in learning how to trust the process, be a positive and encouraging teammate, and how to work hard.
Outside of sports , my academics have been a fundamental to my ambitions as a student athlete. I am committed to my studies and graduating top of my class with honor roll. My goal is graduate from a four year university that will best fit me both athletically and academically in order to one day become a nurse major or get into a PA program. I believe in my capability to continue to be a student athlete and continue to have a positive work-ethic and attitude in and outside of the classroom and court.
