Talyn McCaslin '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches!!

Thank you for taking your time to view my profile. I am currently a Junior at San Joaquin Memorial High School in Fresno, California. My high school is a private, college preparatory school and I asked my parents to send me there so that I could excel academically beyond what was just required to graduate. I was the starting Middle Hitter on the Varsity team this season and play for Fresno Heat during the club season. My Junior year high school season just ended and I was honored to receive the Competitive Passion Award for our Varsity season. I worked hard this season and finished with the highest kill percentage on the team. My teammates are amazing players so I felt very accomplished and now have an even higher bar to reach next season. I am always up for the challenge and working hard is honestly one of my favorite things. Since the age of 5 I have also been a competitive swimmer and for the last 6 years have been involved in 4-H, I am currently the Vice President of my FFA Chapter where I raise and show Market Hogs. I am able to prioritize and keep a tight schedule to maintain my academic standard of a 3.5 or above and also be successful in athletics and extracurricular activities.

Being a positive team member and including not only what I can bring to the court athletically but my enthusiasm and passion for the success of my team members helps the program I am in be successful for all involved. I am beyond excited to have any opportunity to keep playing in college and am looking forward to my future in volleyball.
