I was the child who grew up being told that I was too tall and that I should put it to some good use. I started to play both basketball and volleyball in the beginning of my 7th grade year and continued in high school. I am now a junior and picked to only strictly play volleyball year round playing both at school and for Sideout Volleyball Club. I have pictured myself playing volleyball in college and it is something I want to pursue but beside that I also have my goals of going to a four year college and then getting into a medical school. I aspire to be a forensic pathologist in the future and since I've been in high school I have been taking the hardest courses possible. I am able to find time for both my schoolwork and volleyball, I learned how to manage my time wisely when it comes between the two. I make a great candidate for your volleyball team because I have experience with leadership, I was the 2013-2014 captain for my club volleyball team. The question you guys want to know is what makes me different from the rest. I know how to run 3s, slides and shoots. Well I am a coachable and respectful athlete who knows their boundaries with their coaches and I know how to manage my time wisely. I have a positive attitude and I always look at the bright side of things. Overall I am an athlete who enjoys spending her free time on the court playing volleyball, it is something I am passionate about.
