Volleyball has always stayed in my life since I was seven years old. I have been playing for eleven years, back to back playing high school volleyball and club volleyball as well. I really didn't have a choice to like or to not like volleyball, I was born with it and eventually fell in love with the sport and because both parents brought me into the volleyball world. My mom Sophia, played in high school for the school I attend to now and became a coach after I was born and the same with my dad Nick. My parents have taught me so much about the basics of volleyball and the chemistry within it. During my baby years of growing up into an athlete I have improved a lot. I would struggle in certain things of being a player, but thanks to my high school coach, my mom, help guided me into the right path of becoming a good athlete. I had to fight through all the conditioning and hard drills in practice and my emotions for the team to become the player I am today. Volleyball has taught me so much about myself and my strengths and weaknesses. Such as what it feels like to carry a team when were down five and the other team has game point, or when the crowd just gets into their head or mine and to fight it and to focus on what’s on the court instead of off it. I learned to control my feelings when it comes to the sport and when it comes to be on the court and doing my job as a player and captain and also as an athlete. Yet, I could only imagine what the energy is for college ball and I can't wait to have that extreme adrenaline running through my body playing volleyball for any college that I'm blessed with. I plan on majoring zoology or animal sciences to become a veterinarian because I love animals and grew up with a lot of them. I knew that academics were very important not only to have good grades and have a high GPA but to also be eligible to play volleyball. Volleyball and my academic life have always been my MAIN priorities, along with other things, but i know that those two will hopefully set me up for my future.
