My name is Savannah Smith and I am currently a Senior at Moreau Catholic. I am a starting Middle Hitter and a backup Outside Hitter on our varsity team. I have always played MH until last year when I was temporarily moved into the new position as an Outside Hitter. I thoroughly enjoy playing both.
I have been involved in sports since I was 5 years old. It wasn't until my 8th grade year that my school finally started a volleyball team and it did not take long for volleyball to become my passion. That year I was named Team Captain and MVP. I started playing club volleyball that year as well. In the 4 years that I have played club I was starting MH and Team Captain in all but my first year. My first two years of high school I played on the JV team. Sophomore year I was starting MH and team captain.
I am an extremely competitive, hard working and team oriented player. I believe that I am a good team leader and motivator. My mom told me when I first starting playing sports that there is no I in the word Team and that is the motto that I have lived by on the court ever since.
My dream is to continue playing volleyball through my collegiate years and even beyond that if possible. I am still undecided on a major. I live in California but am open to all opportunities. I look forward to hearing from you and to further discuss my education and athlete career.
