To start, I love to play volleyball even though I have only been playing for about 2 or 3 years now. I started out as an athlete at 4 years old when I played softball as a pitcher at Cypress Girls Softball League and continued playing until I was 10 or 11 years old. After so many years of playing, I realized my heart wasn't fully in it. I tried out hip hop dance for 2 years but figured it wasn't for me. Then at my junior high school, I saw there was girls volleyball tryouts and thought I should try that. After that first day of playing even though it was completely horrible I found my true sport. Currently, I play for my high school team, my club/travel team, a spring club team, and I train at my club. Not only do I play volleyball but I also play basketball and In track for high school. However whenever I'm not on the court or playing other sports, I'm very focused in school. I am in one honors class and plan on taking at least one AP class next year. Also, in my free time I have invested and volunteered in honor of my cousin at the 11Q Conference. What this organization does is it studies Jacobsen syndrome, which is a rare chromosome disorder. For other volunteering opportunities, I also have started coaching a volleyball team at my local recreational center for kids in junior high. Also because of this, I have gotten offers to coach private lessons and earn about 20 dollars an hour per child. I have very big goals for my future and hopefully volleyball will be in it. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.
