Taylor Dunlap '23 Recruiting Profile

  Hi, my name is Taylor Dunlap. I have played club volleyball for 7 years now, since I was 9 years old, for Sunshine Volleyball club. Ever since I started the sport I have dreamed of playing volleyball in college, and have looked up to collegiate volleyball athletes ever since. Being a setter, I am aware of my role on the court and take it very seriously. I lead my teammates with confidence hyping them up, telling them what to run every point, if needed, reminding them where they should be on the court, and lastly being fully aware of what needs to happen for my team to be successful. My passion for the game is 100% there and being a coachable athlete makes me different from other athletes because when asked to, I can make change in my game knowing it will benefit my play. On and off the court I am always smiling making sure that I am not bringing anyone down but bringing the mood up to help the mental factor of the game.
  Even in the classroom, I strive to be the best I can be. I study hard after long practices and work to keep my grades up knowing that it is a big factor in the recruiting process. I have received many academic awards; Principals List which is an achievement for those students who keep their grades above a 3.5 and behavioral awards for those students who have an A in conduct and work habits. Overall, I think I have achieved success on the court and in the classroom.
