Getting passed the first round of playoffs as a sophomore on varsity was the highlight of my high school volleyball experience. Moreover, I learned a great deal my junior year because we started off the year with not one win coming off an undefeated season the year before. This helped me grow as a player and improve my ability to encourage my teammates.
Over the past few years, I was able to win league and receive achievements for being an academic athlete and being placed on the all-league team. I have come to recognize, being a captain requires more than just being a leader. It requires dedication, hard work, and complete devotion to holding the team together. I am looking for a college that will fit my academic and athletic career. I know that my abilities, work-ethic, and leadership qualities, will set me ahead of other players and create an impact on any collegiate program. Knowing I have been placed as captain over 6 times for multiple sports, proves that I have the ability to lead any team.
