Throughout my entire volleyball career I have gained my confidence in being able to speak on my best qualities that I can bring to any team on the court. One quality that I believe shows the most importance is being a versatile player, as I have learned my way around the court and being able to successfully and competitively play multiple positions. As I have been moved around the court numerous times I feel that I can confidently say I enjoy setting the most as well as being a D.S. My favorite thing about these positions is that it requires leadership and taking charge to do what's best for the ball as I like to have a sense of control over how the game plays out . In my time as a setter and defense specialist, it has brought out the aggressive side in me that will never give up the point, no matter how close of a game it is. I believe that my determination in always trying to better my skill in this sport will positively impact any team. Aside from my physical skill on the court I also do my best to step up and pump up the rest of my teammates' mindsets during tough game situations as well as my own. As this isn’t always an easy task, I believe that the team's energy is always the number one key to success, and I will continue to figure out the best ways to encourage that energy from my team. Furthermore, I believe that I play with a purpose before and on the court. For instance, before any game I come into them with the intention of succeeding in at least 5 goals, whether they are as simple as; 3 aces, 5 kills, consistent communication, 6 digs, etc. I have found that this can keep me focused on my own personal goals but enhance my athletic performance on the court.
