I am looking for a colligate program that will allow me to challenge myself physically and academically as volleyball and academics are two huge passions of mine. Coaches have described my style of play as intensely passionate and analytical, allowing me to become a very adaptable player. Recently on my current club team, I had to take over playing middle hitter for a teammate who fell ill with only two practices as preparation for a two-day tournament. After 6+ years playing volleyball and finding myself playing(and loving) every position on the court, I have garnered a pretty expansive "Volleyball IQ" as well as an intense respect and admiration for the game. I am looking to be a part of a team where I can come into practice every day and look forward to being a part of something that is bigger than myself through playing a game that I have come to adore.
Academically, I enjoy taking an advanced course load because I love being met with different challenges and learning new ways to overcome them. I am known to constantly push myself to be better on the court as I am always finding ways to improve through either my physical or mental game. An aspiration of mine is to enter a neuroscience/neurobiology major at a school that will allow me to pursue other academic passions of mine such as computer science, sociology, and kinesiology.
