Hello, my name is Jaylin Motley. I am and Outside Hitter for my Highschool and Club Volleyball teams. I am a junior at Torrance Highschool, class of 2015. I love the game of Volleyball, I got started my freshman year and tried out for my Highschool team and made it, I was also a soccer player at the time but then got involved in club volleyball, which then i decided I loved volleyball more than soccer and resigned from the team and became a dedicated volleyball player. I don't regret leaving soccer for volleyball at all. It's probably the best thing that has ever happened to me. Ever since then my goals have been to play volleyball at a college level. My dreams are to play college volleyball at a D1 or D2 level. I'm a very hard worker, I love to push myself to be better for my game and my teammates and also push my teammates to be the best for themselves and the team also. I will admit i have days where i don't feel like working out or practicing but then i remember that's selfish and look at the bigger picture and my dreams of playing college volleyball and thats what pushes me to strive and work hard. Not just for my teammates and myslef, but for my coaches too. "You can't get too much done in life if you only work on the days you feel good". I feel I would be a great candidate for any team because i work hard, play hard, and I'm my teams biggest cheerleader. On or off the court your team needs support and to know you want to win just as much as they do whether you're playing or not. "A player that makes a team great is better than a great player" -John Wooden. I love being around lots of people and my team. Making people laugh and smile is the best feeling ever. i am very outgoing and i love to laugh and have a great time. I feel i bring hardwork and dedication to the table, i work hard when i need to work hard, have fun when i can have fun, but the best is when you can do both and still get work done.
I may not have the best looking GPA right now but i promise when i say lately i've been working really hard. I took a little of this year for granted and expected good grades not realizing i'd have to work for great grades. Trust me im trying.
