On my first experience in club volleyball I ended up making the second team for my age division. Although I was happy to make the team, I had goals of being on the top team. For the first month of practice, I worked hard to improve and ended up being moved to the top team before the first tournament. From that moment, I realized that nothing would ever be given to me; if I wanted something, I had to work for it. That experience helped me to grow and focus my efforts on becoming the best setter I could, capable of playing at the collegiate level.
I have been fortunate enough to play club volleyball with a great program filled with outstanding coaches. These coaches have helped me to learn the value leadership, commitment, teamwork, and sacrifice. This has enables me to seek a program that will be a goof fi both academically and athletically. I have the talent to compete for a college team. Coupled with my work ethic, dedication, and leadership skills, I could make a positive impact on any volleyball program that is willing to work with me.
