My name is Sierra West and I have been playing volleyball since I was in third grade. I started playing after I had watched my sister play for five years. This sparked my love for volleyball and I decided that I wanted to start playing as well. I started at the recreational level and later starting in sixth grade year I started to play Gold Crown Volleyball. I played Gold Crown all throughout middle school and it prepared me for club volleyball.
In my eighth grade year, I started playing club volleyball on a U13s team. Since my first year, I have played on U13s, U14s, U16's, and U17s, and will finish out my career in 2019 as a U18. With each of my teams I have had the pleasure of being a trained referee. I love to watch and play volleyball and I am excited to play in college.
Currently, I am an honors and AP level student at Skyline High School and I am currently working towards my AP Capstone Diploma.
As a student athlete, I know the importance of discipline and time management. I have been able to manage playing two different sports at the varsity level , working part time, and maintaining my 4.2 GPA. I am a leader in the classroom, on the court and at my job. I am responsible, dedicated and hard working. I would like to further my volleyball career while training for my future in college.
My volleyball experience has been as an all around player outside hitter and defensive specialist during club season, and during my high school season my Junior year I was a Libero, and my Senior year I played all around as needed to help my team. My passion for volleyball is equal to my passion for knowledge.
