I began playing volleyball at the age of 9 at our local YMCA, which my mom coached me on. I fell in love with the sport and began playing for my middle school, as well as continuing with the YMCA program, until I joined Southern Colorado Precision Volleyball club; which is affiliated with Rocky Mountain Region Volleyball. Over the years I have gained experience, love and appreciation with volleyball. I’ve been able to play in sand, grass and indoor games of 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 and 6v6. I currently play middle blocker, outside hitter and right side hitter. Currently I average five kills each match.
I truly enjoy watching Big Ten women’s matches and use the games as reference to improving my own technique. I will be continuing club volleyball through my high school career, as well as participating in camps throughout the years; in addition to playing for my high school.
My college goals are to continue playing volleyball and be a part of a team, while earning a degree in sports medicine. I plan to be a spirited player and positive influence on any team I am placed with. As I continue to grow physically and mentally throughout my high school volleyball career, I will strive to be an asset to the team. I proudly, and will always, conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the court, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches and the school I attend.
