I am excited to play for a competitive volleyball team in college. I am also committed to finding a challenging academic school, with a campus like feel and am open to a medium to larger student body.
About volleyball...I had a late start to volleyball ~ walking on to tryouts, without ever playing prior, freshman year. I was a competitive dancer, at a performing arts school in Denver (DSA) until I was 14. In the 8th grade I decided that dance was no longer for me and I was passionate about playing team sports and going to a public high school where competing in volleyball & tennis would be an option. I made that transition freshman year and made the 3rd level volleyball team (out of 5 teams) and played varsity tennis my freshman year (I received rookie of the year award). After playing high school and club volleyball as well as tennis freshman year, I decided that I loved volleyball the most and was going to dedicate my time to it solely. Playing a sport in college has always been a goal of mine.
I have been progressing quickly these past 2+ years (or so my coaches say:). I played 16 Open Competitive Club ball for 303 as a Sophomore, made the HS Varsity team Junior year and am now playing 18's for Front Range Volleyball to get the most exposure to high level volleyball as possible. I play both RS and Outside and absolutely love the sport. This year my passing has significantly improved , my jumping has increased and my hitting is more aggressive. I am excited to see the improvements that continue to happen this club season. I am a competitive and passionate player (and student) and love the team aspect of volleyball.
