Sarah Evans '19 Recruiting Profile

    Hi! My name is Sarah Evans and I am a 2019 Outside Hitter for Vail Volleyball Club (VVC) in Vail, CO. I have been playing for VVC for 6 years and consider myself a leader on and off the floor. I was named captain of the 17-1's team this year and was also captain of my high school team as a sophomore. I have been a starter every year that I have played club as well as a varsity starter both years in high school, so far. I have played a variety of positions from middle hitter, to setter, and even libero for our JV team. I mostly play outside hitter for high school and club. During the summer, I participate in the Vail Volleyball Sand League. While volleyball is my favorite sport, I am also the backup goalie for our varsity soccer team and was able to play in the state championships last year when we won 7-0! Telemark Ski Team is another sport I enjoy during the winter in our mountain town. 

    Work ethic is very important to me on the court, but even more so off the court. I am currently taking AP history and accelerated math and sciences and have a 4.2 GPA. I have been in multiple theater plays and musicals and am a 10th grade representative on our student government. 

    I am looking for a strong academic college first and foremost, but I would love the opportunity to play volleyball and contribute to a winning team! If you need a hard working outside hitter for your 2019 team, I hope you will consider me.
