Hello! My name is Emily Sousa, and I love playing volleyball. My family, religion, school, sports, and music are the most significant and essential parts of my life. These things take up most of my time as I usually go from one to the next right after school. Having a busy schedule has helped me become organized, and I have learned to manage my time correctly. I am a devoted Christian who loves Jesus. I am also very outgoing, kind to others, and I encourage others to try their best and have fun. I have learned this through playing volleyball. I am a class of 2025 setter. I started playing during my Freshman year of high school and fell in love with the sport. I love how volleyball is always different from rally to rally, so you need to be focused and have a lot of energy and stamina. I have learned that I am an optimist through playing volleyball and that I have a lot of energy. I always keep the team spirit and energy up while I play volleyball. I usually am one of the loudest people on the court. As a setter, I take the responsibility of making quick, confident, and the best decisions on the court to maximize the strength of our team. Academically, I strive to be a good student and succeed in my studies. I aim to experience and thrive in college-level classes, such as AP courses, to prepare myself for the future with healthy study habits. I want to study psychology in college to become a clinical psychologist. I want to work with teens and adults to determine the cause of their unhealthy mental states and implement a treatment to help them better themselves. I’m looking for a school that has Psychology as a course. The size and location are not the most important to me as long as I get a good education and get to play volleyball at the same time. I’m also looking for a school and volleyball program with a great and supportive community.
