Personal Statement
My name is Emily Olson. I am a 5'6, 135-pound, left-handed rightside hitter. I played as an outside hitter during much of my high school career, but prefer hitting rightside. I played varsity since freshman year, and served as team captain my senior year. I ran as team captain junior year, but 13 seniors above me largely prohibited this. I have always been the loudest girl on the court, with a "cannon for an arm" (quote from my coaches) and a voice that "radiates through the ceiling beams". I am an avid learned and a hard-working student, balancing 6 clubs, a job, and both school and club volleyball. I believe every situation is a learning experience with the right perspective.
