Hi my name is Carissa Carbone, and I am graduating in the class of 2017. My goal of playing collegiate volleyball began in my first year of ever joining a club team, 5th grade. I have always worked hard to be the best player that I can be on and off the court. Volleyball has not only affected my athleticism, but my work ethic. Student athletes are held to a higher standard, and I work to raise that standard with the academic courses I take, and the grades I get. I have been on the honor role since my freshman year. Among my academic and athletic responsibilities, I also participate in the unified sports program. Which places students with mental and physical disabilities with selected students to team up and play various sports. Everything that I do in high school now, is preparing me for my ultimate goal. Play competitive volleyball at a collegiate level, and get a great education while doing so.
