I have been playing volleyball since 1st grade (when I was small enough to walk under the net without ducking) and it's become my passion. My main position is setter but I am also a really strong hitter. I'm also brought in to serve for other players because my jump serve puts a lot of points on the board. It's important to me to spend a part of every day improving my game and my drive. I am all-in with everything I commit myself to do. Just as important is I am a strong communicator on and off the court because without that you can't possibly succeed.
Beyond volleyball, I'm dedicated to my academics which includes the Agriscience/FFA program I am enrolled in. Additionally, I was the youngest staff member brought on to Region 14's payroll last year. I work as the large animal/livestock caregiver for our school's numerous horses, cows, pigs, goats, sheep, etc. It's a big honor and responsibility to be given and hold the keys and security codes for my school. I love that I am trusted and depended on for the health and wellness of our school's animals. Being in the program and working for the school has given me so much confidence beyond an average highschooler. I can change the turf tires out on a large tractor, weld a broken tool, change the oil on a combine, ride my horses and still throw on a skirt and heals to compete in FFA Quiz Bowl.
As for academics, I am a solid A-A+ student taking honors classes and advanced language. My goal is to be an Equine Vet so Honors Biology, Vet Science and Horse Management are some of my favorite classes this year.
My brothers who were and are college athletes are my biggest advocates along with my parents and coaches. My support system is beyond amazing.
That's a bit about me - I appreciate the time you spent getting to know me.
