Chicago "Recruit ...Personal Statement
I am a high school junior at T. Dewitt Taylor High School in Pierson FL. I will graduate in 2017 and my goal is to play either collegiate volleyball or softball. I have been playing softball since I was four years old and started playing volleyball when I was in third grade and have loved playing both ever since. I have already played in very high level competition in both sports. My club volleyball team won an AAU National Championship in 2013, came in second in the USA National championship in 2013 and placed 3rd in the AAU National Championship in 2014. I am also playing on an 18U travel softball team currently and am playing against college teams and in college showcase tournaments. Outside of indoor volleyball and softball, I also enjoy playing beach volleyball, riding four wheelers and going dog hunting with my dad. My favorite quote is "Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game -- Babe Ruth".
