The moment I realized I wanted to continue volleyball in college was during my sophomore year in high school. We were on a South Carolina trip and my team was referred to as "small and easy". Everyone thought that we were going to be a quick win but we proved them all wrong. We ended up going to the finals and winning the whole tournament. That feeling I will never forget and in every game I play, I aspire to feel that same way. Being captain means doing whatever possible to help my team feel that same way and playing as a team makes me love the game ever more.
I fell in love with the game when I was 8 years old and have loved it ever since. There has been tough roads along the way but volleyball always made it better. Over the years I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice and leadership. I have learned playing club and high school volleyball to organize my time to insure that my academics does not loose any ground. I want to peruse a medical path in college to achieve my long-term life goal of becoming a doctor and to help people live a long and fruitful life.
