I was 13 when I moved across the country. The move became one of the biggest influences in my life. It taught me, friendship remains strong regardless of the miles between. I can make a new start and be fine because change is not always bad.
I became interested in playing volleyball when I was 11 years old. My cousin and I would play in a nearby park and I discovered a new love. I didn’t play on a formal Volleyball team until 8th grade. I like the feeling of being part of a team that volleyball gives me. I started playing late so I have to work harder than most players. I love playing Volleyball. It’s my love for the sport that pushes me to not give up on it. I practice extra so no one can tell me I'm not good enough.
I have big goals in life. I want to be a doctor when I grow up. So I make sure that I study hard and keep my grades up. If something is hard I don't give up, I keep working. I overcame the obstacles of moving somewhere new, changing surroundings, schools and making new friends which is a hard thing to do but I did it. I have learned hard work makes you better.
