Hi, my name is Leah. I was born in Cuba and I moved with my parents to Miami, Florida when I was 7 years old. My parents and I, once again moved to Puerto Rico when I was 10. Puerto Rico was where I fell in love with my sport. At first, I wanted to be a dancer or a soccer player, until the end of 6th grade when I stayed after school and watched the 8th graders' volleyball practice. I dropped everything, tried out and joined a club team, and ever since that day I've devoted myself to becoming the best volleyball player I can be. I have practice 8 times a week, yet I never complain because I enjoy and love what I do. Moreover, I make sure to exceed in school to further improve my chances for opportunities.
