My name is Alexandra Marshall. Playing volleyball is one of my greatest passions in life. I have experienced nearly every sport imaginable until I landed on volleyball and haven’t looked back since! After only having played for two years, I earned Offensive Player of the Year, made the Varsity team and I was selected as team captain my junior year. Thus far in my high school career, I’ve been blessed to receive Herald Tribune’s Athlete of the Week, lead my team in aces, and earn a spot on the HERALD TRIBUNE'S ALL AREA VOLLEYBALL TEAM. I have just begun my senior year season as a captain and am looking forward to finishing strong. I was selected for the Elite Top 10 Players to Watch for 2022 High School Season by the Herald Tribune. I will be playing for St Pete Volleyball Club Teal 18 this upcoming club season. I played with St Pete Volleyball Teal17 last season and the previous two years I was with Sarasota Volleyball Club. I love the talent I’m surrounded by as I continue to strive to grow my game.
I was also a part of my high school’s inaugural season of beach volleyball and I’m very excited to experience that as well! Outside of volleyball, I enjoy spending time with my friends at both the beach and the movies, attending Young Life with my church youth group, listening to music and reading.
Academically, I am a member of the National Honor Society, currently in the top 6% of my graduating class, and working towards my AICE diploma (which will grant me full Bright Future Scholarship). My professional interest is to major in criminal justice or criminology with an emphasis on psychology. I am looking forward to the next chapter where I can attend college to, not only pursue my academic/career goals, but be a collegiate athlete where I can be a valuable asset to the school’s volleyball program. My team’s camaraderie, both on and off the court, is something I very much enjoy and thrive on. The competitiveness that comes with playing volleyball, along with my relationship with God and support of my family, has shaped me into who I am today. I hope that you or a member of your staff can evaluate me this spring to see if I might be a good fit for your program.
