April Williams '19 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I'm April Williams, a 5'9" Outside Hitter and 6 position player. I started playing volleyball when I was in 5th grade when my mom introduced my sisters and I to the sport (as she had played volleyball in college). I am a triplet and my two sisters, Amber (Libero) and Ashley (Setter), are on the same team as me. Playing volleyball has allowed me to break out of my shell and develop my own unique personality away from my sisters. However, aside from being sisters, we all have one thing in common: a passion and love for volleyball.

In school, I have a 4.0 GPA unweighted and a 5.12 weighted, so academics are very important to me. I went to a Baptist school from preschool all the way up to 8th grade and am a Christian. I have a strong moral character and always try to be the best person I can be.

On the court, I am a supportive team leader. I have been the captain twice in the past four years. Wherever the coach needs me to play, whether it be OH, MB, OPP, back row player, server, or supporting my teammates from the sideline, I am willing to do what the team needs to be successful. I am extremely excited about contributing to a college team and getting the full college experience. I am looking for a school that will be the right fit for me, academically, athletically, and socially.
