Hi, my name is Mackenzie Lloyd and I am a junior at Suncoast High School. Most people think that is a hard school, and yes it is. It's been a hard journey, but I have learned so much about myself and what I can achieve. You have to make sacrifices in life to be able to reach your goals. Education will always come first for me, and I know I can get the best possible education by going to Suncoast. Ever since I stepped onto the court, I knew I wanted to take it farther than just middle and high school.Playing volleyball in college would be a dream come true for me. I used to be a competitive gymnast, and it got too hard with school work and stress on on my body. After I quit, I tried a summer camp at OTVA, and completely fell in love with the sport. I tried out and made the school team in sixth grade, and I started on varsity in 7th and 8th grade. I really realized my love and appreciation for volleyball this year. I was always stressed about school or grades and volleyball is what kept me sane. I knew if i lost everything else I would lose volleyball too, and I would never let that happen. I am very determined to do my best, and be the player that knows how to communicate with her team. I have a drive to win and give 110% every time I step onto the court. Every day, I try to make improvements and grow as a person on and off the court.
