My name is Hannah Mary Herrick and I’m the graduating class of 2024. This is my sixth year playing school and club volleyball. I am currently a starting 6-rotation OH for Emerald Coast Volleyball Club on the 17 National team. For the 2022 season, I was a starting 6-rotation right/outside hitter for South Walton High School. I started playing volleyball in the sixth grade and completely fell in love with the sport!
I started playing volleyball at the age of 11 and my passion for the game only continues to grow. Since I started playing in the sixth grade at Emerald Coast Middle School, I have made the varsity team every year as a starting player. As a freshman at South Walton High School, I was a starting middle hitter on the varsity team. As a sophomore, I was a starting right side (6 rotation) hitter on the varsity team, where my team and I retained our district title win for the second year. I also played middle, when needed, when my teammate was out with injuries. In the spring of 2022, I was chosen for North West Florida Daily News All Area Team honors. In August of 2022, I was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association's Phenom Watchlist.
In my first year of club, I played for Coastal Crush Volleyball Club on the 14U regional team. At the age of 11, I was a starting outside hitter. The next two years I played for Emerald Coast Volleyball Club on a 13 and 14 national team as a starting middle and outside hitter. In my 4th year of club season, I was a starting 6 rotation outside hitter for Emerald Coast Volleyball Club on a 15 National team.
This past club season I played on the 16 National Team Cabatu for Emerald Coast Volleyball Club as a starting outside, six rotation hitter. Along with attending 3-4 practices a week, I also obtain private strength and conditioning training at Sand Dunes Strength and Conditioning in Santa Rosa Beach, FL 2 days a week.
My goal as a student athlete is to obtain a great college education and play the sport I love! My current GPA is 4.23 and I am looking to study business law, accounting, or in the field of mathematics. My passion for the sport is unconditional and I’m open to any regions/divisions as long as it’s the best academic and athletic fit for me.
I am extremely hard working, dedicated, and I am a strong leader (I have been the captain of all my club teams). I truly believe that being a great teammate is just as important as being a great athlete. I am very coachable, dependable, and I pride myself on my never quit attitude. I am beyond excited to see what my future holds as a student athlete.
