Who is Cailyn Coleman?
I am a DS/L/back row player for my club team, Atlanta Performance, led by club co-director Trina Smith. In high school I was the starting libero for Westlake High School in Atlanta, and our head coach, Lynea Bogues. I was named to the Georgia High Schools Association Region 2-AAAAAAA all-region team and was selected as the Defensive MVP for our team.
What Would Cailyn Coleman Bring to Your Program?
I am an extremely athletic player. In fact, 2019 was my first full-time club volleyball season because until this year I split time between track and field and volleyball. (Fact: In 2018 in track, I was a sectional qualifier in the 100-meter hurdles in the largest classification for Georgia high schools, Class AAAAAAA.) I believe I have a very high ceiling and a lot of potential. I always play hard, I am very coachable, and I am a great teammate.
Additionally, my athletic pedigree is significant: my older sister, Camryn, 25, ran track at Georgia Southern University and my older brother, Christian, 23, holds every sprinting record at the University of Tennessee. He is now a professional track and field athlete for Nike, the world record holder in the indoor 60 meters and last summer ran the sixth-fastest time ever in the 100 meters to win the World Championship. He is considered the leading candidate to win the gold medal in the 100 meters at this summer's Olympic Games in Tokyo. He was also an all-state football player in high school.
What Kind of Student is Cailyn Coleman?
Currently, my grade average is 85 and I scored 1060 on my first attempt on the SAT (without SAT prep). I will be doing SAT tutoring and will retake the test this fall to achieve a higher score. I plan to major in business because I want to operate my own esthetics studio.
