Inéza (sky) Alston '20 Recruiting Profile

        My goal is to attend a college that will contribute to my career as an Ophthalmologist or a social worker for foster children. I want to be an ophthalmologist/ glaucoma specialist because, I also have glaucoma and I feel like I can better relate to the patients who also have been diagnosed than someone who can't really relate to their situation or feeling. I want to be a social worker for foster children children who have been abandoned  because, so many children around the world get lost in the system. I strongly believe in helping them find a home with a family who truly cares and loves them. I can help promote and protest about the lost children in the system by having public speeches, making connections, making a website etc. I feel like this will be very effective because I am a very influential and persuasive person with good judgement and good communication skills. I can make a great impact on many people's lives. I also aspire to play Volleyball at a professional level in college. I have 4 years of experience, I am currently a team captain, and a strong setter and defensive player. I am very mold-able and open to learning new skills that will make me a stronger athlete. I am a judicious leader that offers guidance to not only my teammates but to my peers in the classroom and in my personal life. I strongly believe in working together as a team.  Academically, I quickly retain information, maintain passing grades, and have good time management. I am capable of balancing athletics, academics and my social life.
