Hello everyone I am Gabriela Grimaldi I am 15 years old and I am a sophomore in high school. I play the Libero position however I can also hit or I can adapt to other Positions. I play for my high school team Groves high school and I've played in clubs for many years. I first started in a recreational club called pooler rec, then as I got older I started playing in an more elite club called upwardstars where I learned most of everthing I know. I learned a lot in these past years however there no limit to how much you could know. I have such a great passion for volleyball, also you could never see me without one in my hand. Yes it takes more than passion to be outstanding so that why I train with my dad, I try to eat right and I never go a day without touching a ball.
I started playing volleyball because my mother played volleyball in Peru for her teams and well she introduced it to me. In the beginning her seeing me play used to make her happy and proud and that's all I ever wanted for my mother, However after my very first game for volleyball I realized that volleyball was something more than just making my mom happy it made me happy, it made me feel something I can't explain. Talking about volleyball can make my day it put a huge smile on my face and I just start to feel excitement. I am an honor roll student and I have been all my life, I'm not super super smart but I work my butt off to get my good grades, and I put 100 % in everything I do. I do not give up and I don't think I ever will.
