Hanna Meekins '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Hanna Meekins, and I am a class of 2023 Setter/RS. I didn't truly start to fall in love with the sport until the beginning of high school, making me feel a step behind where I should have been, thus being why I was best friends with the bench. Despite how I was feeling inside, I continued to uplift my teammates and always came to practice with the right mindset: that I was going to dominate. My coaches saw this, and started giving me more and more chances to prove myself in games. My positive attitude and energy on the court eventually led me to be a starter for the rest of the season along with the following one. I've always had to work for what I want in life, thus creating this never ending drive to always improve in all aspects of my life. Whether in academics or on the court surrounded by my teammates, discipline is such a valuable attribute to have and to know how important it is to lift up others and build their confidence as mine has grown to be.
