Kaila Kikugawa '12 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Kaila Kikugawa and my passion is to play volleyball at a competitive level. My goals are to play as a freshman, to be a starter, to really learn as much as I can, to have an impact on the team that I am playing with. Even though I am only 5'6 and 135 pounds, which is considered short in college ball, I can offer you the promise that I will play my 120% every time i step out on that court. I may be small but i play with a big heart because this is my passion. I am a very coach-able and will try and improve everyday. I will play where ever I am needed. I was a captain and co-captain so i can offer leadership and support. I am a team player. I will always run down for the ball no matter what until i know that it is officially dead. I made 2nd team in the Oahu Interscholastic Association for two consecutive years. It has always been my dream to be able to play college ball. I just can't imagine not being able to play. My dad played in college and i really want to follow in his footsteps. I would like to go to a school that can help me achieve my major in Physical Therapy. Academics are very important to me and my family. I am open to different types of schools as well as different locations. I hope that you will give me chance to show you how I can be a asset to your school both academically and athletically. Thank you.
