My interest in volleyball started back in 5th grade when I first moved to Idaho. Since then, I've worked really hard in practice, at the gym, and playing with a club team. Starting so late in my life playing volleyball; other sports like softball and basketball allowed me to develop a sort-of dedication to a team sport. I first started thinking about becoming a college volleyball player when Jared ,my older brother, got accepted to play at Lewis-and-Clark State College for Football. My High School academics started out pretty rough adjusting to being the oldest child at home when Jared moved out then starting High School without him; But that isn't an excuse. Sophomore year is looking up with a 'B' average so far. Some obstacle this year are mostly financial difficulties with playing club ball for Club Idaho Volleyball. I knew this would be a challenge driving two hours to practice and leaving right after school allowing myself to no extra help if needed. Buckling down and getting it done is allowing me to finish the year with good grades and more skill under my belt for next season. Volleyball is one of my true passions along with helping people in the future.
