Aly Cox 6'1 (S/OPP)Personal Statement
As a 6’1” freshman setter and right side hitter, I play all six rotations for both my club and high school teams. I have a passion for learning and am very interested in math and science. I currently have a 4.1 GPA, am ranked 8th overall in my class, and earned a 1320 on the PSAT this spring. I spent my earlier years as a competitive ski racer and soccer player and just two years ago, started playing volleyball and basketball. This year, as the only freshman on varsity for both volleyball and basketball, I started for both teams. In volleyball, I was the starting setter and right side in our 6-2 offense and we placed 4th in the 5A state tournament. I was the starting power forward for my high school basketball team where we also finished 4th in the 5A state tournament.
