My name is Valiyah Barnes. I am a 6'0' Middle Hitter, but I also play Outside and Right Side. I am a resident of Chicago, IL where I attend Simeon Career Academy. I am currently captain of my varsity team where I am also a starter. I am pleased to announce that our season record was 11-1 and we placed first in our conference. I've been highlighted in the Chicago Sun Times for several accomplishments including my season high 15 kills and 8 aces in 2 sets. I am passionate about this sport and I work hard, play harder. Since I was younger, I've dreamed of playing college volleyball and playing in the Olympics. Volleyball is my life.
