Chantal Chora '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Chantal Chora and I am a 2023 high school graduate. 

I've been playing volleyball since I was in fourth grade and from then on, I always looked forward to playing it whenever, no matter what time of season it was. I've loved volleyball ever since and now I aspire to play at a high collegiate level. 

I am a left handed right side for the varsity team at Elmwood Park High-School. I began my high school volleyball career on the Freshman team in 2019 and for my sophomore year I made the JV team, in both years playing right side. For club at DIVC, I currently play both outside and right side. I am always willing to whatever position I am needed in, even if that means learning new plays or more technical plays. I believe this attribute shows how dependable I can be towards a team and what I can bring to a team. I am always willing to learn and take criticism wherever and whenever it is needed in order to improve as a player and be someone who is coach-able. I started in most games during the high school season playing right side. I am currently playing at DIVC as both a right side and an outside. 

When it comes to academics, I have always enjoyed putting myself in challenging situations to grow not only academically but also as a person. Throughout middle school, freshman and sophomore year, I received high and regular honor roll and currently, I am in the high honor roll with a 4.7 GPA. My course list includes mostly honors and/or AP classes. I am looking for a school that will not only challenge me as a volleyball player but as a student. My dream is to pursue a dream in either interior design or architecture. I am looking for a school located more in the Midwest for that is where I was born and raised. However, I am completely open to any school that will continue to push me to excellence on and off the court.
