My overall goal would be to go to a college that not only allows me to play collegiate level volleyball, but also helps me reach my academic goals to pursue a career in the medical field. For me, hard work is key. I give 110% in not only volleyball, but school as well. I am a very coachable player who will take the feedback that is given to me and apply it to my skills. I have learned a lot from playing volleyball. Ever since the day I decided I was going to try out for my seventh grade school team, I have loved volleyball. One thing that has stuck with me throughout my 5 years of playing volleyball is how to be a team player. I believe that a team that may not have the most skilled players but has amazing teamwork will beat a team that has extremely skilled players but no teamwork any day. Volleyball is a team sport. In my opinion, you can‘t win if you’re not a team. That’s why being a team player is so important to me and why I strive to be the best team player I can be. I‘ve also learned how to be adjustable. Over the course of my volleyball career, I‘ve played different positions. I was originally a middle and have been a middle up until my sophomore volleyball school season. Ever since the first day of camp, my coach was set on me playing outside. That’s what she had me practice and play. It wasn’t until two days before our first game that she told me that I was going back to middle. To say I was surprised is an understatement, but I took that information and rolled with it. I am always willing to play wherever my coaches need me to play. Not only do I focus on my athletic career, but I also prioritize my academic career. I strive to be the best in not only volleyball, but in school as well. Ever since I got to middle school and grades actually became a thing, I have strived to get the best grades I could get. I have been getting straight A’s ever since 6th grade and plan on continuing to strive to get straight A’s. I am beyond excited for what my future will hold and where it will take me in life. Most importantly, I am thrilled to find a school that will help support my goals for not only my athletic career, but my academic career as well.
