I would like to play volleyball in college because I love the sport and want to keep learning about the game. I was very small in junior high and started as a libero. As I started to grow and get to play front row, I found myself playing middle blocker on our Varsity team as a freshman. As I have gotten stronger, I have also gotten to play outside hitter and love that as well! My height probably means that I should be an outside hitter, but no matter what coach I play for...I keep getting used as a middle hitter/blocker. I do love to roam the net and have worked really hard over the last couple year at quick hits, slides, and smart tips. As a junior, I got the opportunity to serve and play back row as well-I loved getting to play all the way around!
I think hearing my parents talk about their college sports experiences and getting to meet the friends they made is also a part of my wanting to play college volleyball. Both my mom and dad made such good friends and still love to visit their college. They also both share travel stories. I want all of that for myself!
