2017 Highlights Personal Statement
My name is Alexis Nelson. I am a high school Junior looking to help your college program with my abilities both educationally and athletically. I have found my love in the sport of volleyball. I started varsity 2 weeks into my freshman year for Southmont high school and have not looked back since. I am currently a junior and have over 400 kills this season alone with a .280 kill percentage. The Academy Volleyball Club is where I do my intense training during the club season.
I have been fortunate to have amazing coaches and teammates at school and my club. These coaches have helped form me into an all conference volleyball player and push me to exceed even my own expectations. I have learned the value of confidence, hard work, and leadership from my teammates and coaches. With this knowledge and confidence, I can add a great amount of value to your team. I am searching for a program that will be a good fit athletically as well as academically. With my drive, determination and leadership, I can be a huge impact on your program!
