Personal Statement

My collegiate goals and aspirations are to prepare myself for the real world and to excel in my education. I aspire to become a very successful woman in the Business field after graduating from college. I believe that my college education will help lead me to this aspiration. I would be a good candidate for your team because I will be focused 100% at practice and I will always push myself to be better at every practice,  yet enjoy the game of volleyball as I do. As libero on my varsity team, I was a leader on the court and encouraged my teammates. Winning the first Sectional title in 24 years at my high school is the highlight of my high school career so far.  However, I believe that I grew the most as a student-athlete when our team did not win Sectionals the past two years. That experience helped me grow as an athlete and as a person. It also pushed me to focus on becoming a well-rounded player and an even better libero/DS.  My career in volleyball so far has taught me leadership-skills, teamwork, dedication and determination, which are all necessary in playing at the college level.

I am a good student, I volunteer in the community,  I am involved in many clubs at my school (including Student Council, BPA, NHS, Rotary, and FCA) and I am active in my church youth group. I am very responsible, organized and I have very good time-management. I am a very dedicated student and I devote much of my time to my academics.  I am very good at balancing my studies, year round volleyball and my social life. I believe that I not only have the talent to compete on a college team, but the character, positive attitude, and work-ethic that would make me a vital candidate for your team.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
