I have been playing volleyball for ten years and currently am in my sixth year of club volleyball. I have been fortunate to play on competitive teams both in Indiana and in Texas. I have played for clubs that participated in both JVA and USAV as well as in The Tour of Texas and AAU events. I have also been a six rotation varsity starter for my high school since freshman year and have been named Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and most outstanding player of the match multiple times. I have played outside, middle, opposite, DS and libero.
I hope to continue my volleyball career in college, playing for a competitive team that will reflect my strong work ethic, desire to get better and to make my teammates better. I find that volleyball is an outstanding platform for me to keep me grounded and focused both in my personal and academic life. Post college I hope to teach and continue my love of volleyball through coaching.
I can assure you that should you choose to have me play for your school you will not have anyone who outworks me and who will be a more positive influence on both the performance and chemistry of your team both on and off the court. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to getting to know more about your program.
Update 10/21/14: Our high school regular season ended last night with a record of 20-4. We are excited to begin state tournament play and believe we have a great chance to do very well. Again this year, I have played as a six rotation player and have played all three front row positions. I have been working off the court with a private strength trainer to increase my vertical and hope to touch 9'6 during club tryouts. I have also been working weekly with Brian Murray from Team Indiana to increase my swing speed and to ensure I am positioned properly to allow me at hit with power to all areas of the court. I look forward to seeing you at the upcoming Team Indiana Showcase event on 12/7 or during the club volleyball season!
Update 1/9/14: I will be playing club volleyball again this year for Team Indiana on the 17 Elite Molten Team. I will be playing as a six rotation outside. I look forward to seeing you one of our upcoming tournaments that include the Mid East Power League events, the Bluegrass Invitational, the JVA and AAU's among others.
