I'm Nevaeh Griffin,
I found the love for volleyball in 3rd grade. Since then, I have been on fire. I have played up in middle school, high school, and club.
My freshman year of high school, I played for the freshman, JV and varsity teams. My freshman year I would practice from 245-7pm.
I have also played club for 4 years, 2 with Prodigy Volleyball Club, and 2 with Union Volleyball Club.
I have participated in UofL summer volleyball camps as well as EXACT sports volleyball camp.
My collegiate goals and aspirations are quite high. I want to play Division 1 Volleyball, meaning I must stay in shape and eat healthy, so I can make it to that level. I would make a great candidate for a D1 team, because I have a lot of experience as a setter and as a Varsity High School player as a freshman. What makes me different from other recruits in character is that I encourage my teammates and have a complete positive attitude on and off the court. I also cheer on my teammates and bring them up when they're down on themselves. The difference I have in athletics is the way my mind works. Being a Setter, I must be able to adjust myself to multiple situations and I am able to do so. I'm able to memorize the way hitters prefer their sets and I am also able to realize who's "hot" with their hits and who needs time to cool down and regroup themselves.
What makes me different in academics compared to other recruits is that I've had Honors classes for 4 years straight and I've set a goal for myself to continue having honors for the rest of my school career. I am a hard worker, dedicated to the game.
