Mya Shively '19 Recruiting Profile

Being one of the youngest students in my class, I always manage to keep up if not excel in whatever the task is. My junior year at Logansport High School I was voted MVP by my teammates and coaches and was also recognized for being 3rd in the state of Indiana with 739 digs for a season total and 3rd in the state for digs per set.

Going into my sophomore year we lost the whole starting varsity floor besides me. That is when it really hit me that my leadership role was more important than ever. That season we ended up meeting our winning record from the year before and my coach personally thanked me for my commitment and outstanding leadership role. I believe my understanding of the game of volleyball as well as the passion I have for it is something you don't see in every player and I'm extremely proud of that. I believe I have what it takes to compete at the college level, but I'm just as sure that I have the character, work-ethic, respect, and leadership that can and will have an immediate impact on your program. All I need is a chance to prove to you I have what it takes, I promise you will not regret it!
