Personal Statement

Hello, ma’am/sir. My name is Caitlin Sylvester. I am a 5’9 outside hitter who hopes to play at the collegiate level. I go to Western High School in Russiaville, Indiana. This past season I was team captain and played six-rotations. I also play club at Boiler Juniors in Lafayette. My collegiate goals and aspirations consist of becoming not only a better athlete, but evolving into a better person. What I am looking for in my future team is great team chemistry. A sisterhood is very special to me because I believe those relationships continue onto the court and better our game. I am a great pick for your team because I strive to work hard in everything I do. I want to become better as an athlete and I definitely plan on it. I am a strong ”A” student and put my education first. My character and personality is strong. I strive to find the good in all things. Not only do I strive to be positive, but I also work to see God at the center of my game. Volleyball has opened so many doors for me, not only physically, but mentally. There are so many opportunities I am given with this game that I sometimes take for granted. Which is why I would love to pursue the game volleyball at the collegiate level.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
