My name is Milica (pronounced Mee-lee-tza) Tomic. I am a sophmore at Lake Central High School. I used to be in many different sports and activities. When I was eight years old, I started playing volleyball and immedietely fell in love with the game. This was when I joined club and put everything I had into volleyball. I have always been very dedicated to this sport and work extremely hard to better myself as a player and as a person. I have played club for six years and have been a starter for almost all of those seasons. I am a setter and an opposite but can also play outside. Three years ago my team placed 10th at USAV nationals in the Open division. In both 7th and 8th grade my school team won conference. Volleyball has taught me many things but most importantly, that you must work to improve. This goes into my academics as well. I am currently taking honors and AP courses and plan on continuing those in the years to come. My freshman year I played varsity for my school and earned the “Rookie of the year“ award. I always want to be the best that I can possibly be and I won't settle for less. My family has always supported me through it all and continue to teach me to fight for what I love. With the passion and dedication that I have, I believe I can play at the highest level possible.
